Mackenzie Rhodes began her teaching career in 2017 with her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Central Oklahoma. Over the years Mrs. Rhodes has taught 3rd through 5th grades. Mackenzie’s philosophy of teaching is to show each of her students the love and compassion they deserve in order to succeed in the classroom. One of Mackenzie’s fellow co-workers recently said,
“All parents hope and pray that their child gets a teacher like you! You are knowledgeable, compassionate, thoughtful, and you care more about what is best for your students than what is convenient for you. Teachers with your passion and ambition are rare. Not only are you a blessing to your kids, you are a blessing to your team and the rest of our staff. Thank you for being a shining example of what an impactful teacher looks like.”
When the opportunity of opening her own tutoring center was presented, the answer was an obvious, “Yes!”. “In my classroom, I was only reaching 20-30 kids per year. With The Study Hub, the potential to reach hundreds more students per year was the real driving force to make the decision to open a new Study Hub. Reaching more kids is the ultimate goal and dream.”
Mrs. Rhodes is trained in the LTRS Reading program. Mackenzie also spent the summer of 2022 tutoring dyslexic students with Dr. Barbara Bayless, and a new passion for reaching students with reading disabilities was sparked.
What sets The Study Hub apart from other tutoring centers is the expertise to service dyslexic students and the individualized approach to each tutoring session. The Study Hub tutors all subjects and grade levels.
Mackenzie and her husband reside in her hometown and alma mater of Broken Arrow. Given the opportunity to open a Study Hub in her hometown is a true blessing and exciting endeavor. The Study Hub will have a huge impact on this community, and she cannot wait for all the success stories to come.

Study Hub Vision
In 2016 Kari Smith opened the Study Hub in Choctaw. As a teacher of students with learning differences, she saw a great need for explicit reading instruction. “It was frustrating to know exactly what students needed but didn’t have the time within a school setting to help these students.”
“Dyslexia affects 20 percent of the population and represents 80–90 percent of all those with learning disabilities. It is the most common of all neurocognitive disorders.” (Dyslexia University)
The Study Hub tutors students of all ages in all subjects. The one-on-one instruction students receive allows them to ask questions they normally wouldn’t in a classroom setting. Our schools are crowded, and this individualized help allows every instructor to meet kids exactly where they are.
There are no contracts at The Study Hub. Every student works one session at a time until they get where they need to be.
The Study Hub helps students gain the confidence and knowledge to increase scores and opportunities.
